OMNI R2 Meters

The OMNI meter from Sensus is the most technologically advanced large water meter on the market today. The key to this optimal measurement performance is the application of the new Floating Ball Technology (FBT). FBT employs an impeller with a ball design which makes the impeller weightless in the water line. The technology enables the impeller to begin moving with very little water flow or force through the meter. The result is that OMNI has an extended flow range with better low flow sensitivity, as well as the ability to capture extended high flow rates - all with virtually no wear.

SR Meters
These positive displacement magnetic drive Sealed Register (SR®) meters feature bronze maincases and a unique tamper-proof design that prevents unauthorized removal of the internally locked register. Available with your choice of standard read and encoder registers.
SR II Meters
These magnetic drive positive displacement meters use an oscillating piston to provide superior sensitivity in measuring a wide range of flows for a variety of residential applications or similar service needs. The SR II® meter design includes a high quality cast bronze maincase, dual inlet ports and streamlined flow pattern to provide lasting measurement accuracy and deliver years of dependable service.
PMM Meters
These meters feature a tamper resistant magnetic drive sealed register to eliminate fogging and have only one moving part exposed to water. PMM® Multi-Jets offer superior tolerance to sand and debris. They offer extreme low flow sensitivity and superior reliability over a range of flows. Their registers feature large, easy to read numbers, a full width sweep hand and low flow (leak) detector. All PMM meters meet or exceed AWWA Standard C708.

accuMAG Meters
The accuMAG meter from Sensus is based on electromagnetic flow (EMF) technology and provides measurement of a wide flow range. With no moving parts, the accuMAG meter maintains its accuracy over its lifetime. AMR/AMI connectivity, reduced headloss, and field replaceable batteries are just a few of the key benefitsof the accuMAG meter.

Please see Data Sheets and Meter Specifications below.
Series '"W" Turbo
A unique right angle magnetic drive design eliminates problems associated with exposed gears to provide full measurement accuracy throughout the meter's operating range. The single unit measuring chamber can be easily removed from maincases for fast, easy maintenance without removing the maincase from the service line.
Fireline
For installation in service lines supplying both fire and domestic service where flows range from very low to high. FireLine Assemblies combine an Underwriters' Laboratories (UL) listed strainers - or UL listed and Factory Mutual (FM) approved strainer with a detector check valve and two separate Sensus meters - all in a single unit. Compact FireLine
Fire Service
Direct Reading Fire Service (DRFS) Meters and Compact Fire Service (CFS) Meters are for installations where UL or FM requirements must be satisfied. They meet a variety of requirements for fire service ratings, flow demands and applications or where limited installation space is a factor.
Mainline Propeller
Available in weld-on, clamp-on, plain tube and flanged end styles for applications where accountability rather than revenue is a factor. Typical applications include pump discharge, fresh water treatment plant measurement, sewage treatment plant effluent and chemical feed control. Available with Electronic Rate of Flow (E-ROFI) registers.

Fire Hydrant Meters

Fire Hydrant Meters
Fire Hydrant Meters
Measure water from hydrants or non-permanent set-ups. Choose from two models: 125-W and 1125-W for measuring flows to 1125 GPM (4250 litres per minute). Both have convenient carrying handles, locking hasp lids and are available with a number of options.

Automatic Meter Reading Systems

Automatic Meter Reading Systems

RadioRead

Sensus RadioRead® features the most robust, high-powered radio frequency transmitter available for use with walk-by or drive-by automatic meter reading systems.

RadioRead offers a choice of meter reading options. A handheld unit can be used for reading RadioRead equipped meters, TouchRead System meters, or manually entering visual readings by meter readers on foot. A more powerful vehicle transceiver has greater range and can be used in any car or truck at any time to read meters as the vehicle drives past RadioRead equipped meters.

TouchRead
This versatile meter reading system reads inside meters sets and meters in underground pits or vaults. Proven at hundreds of utilities since 1984, this meter reading system eliminates meter reading problems and errors while speeding the on-site reading process. In less than two seconds, each meter reading is electronically transferred to a Sensus AutoRead® HandHeld Device (AR-HHD) through a wireless reading gun or probe. The reading data is later off-loaded to a PC at the utility office where it can be used to generate management reports or for printing customer bills.
ICE Family

The ICE family is the most technologically advanced AMR/AMI system in the industry. They interface with TouchRead, RadioRead and FlexNet system reading equipment as well as competitive AMR/AMI systems. These absolute encoder registers are available in several configurations including pre-wired factory sealed, water tight versions for reliable service in harsh, wet environments such as underground meter pits and vaults.

The ICE family provides the ultimate in programming versatility. The registers can be programmed to electronically output from a single odometer wheel up to and including all 8 wheels. There are also 4 programmable fields which include units of measure, reading multiplier, a customized 12-character identification field, and an additional text field of 20 characters to enter information such as account number, installation date, etc.

Meter Reading and Utility Software

Meter Reading and Utility Software

AutoRead Software
AutoRead® software from Sensus lets utilities manage all Sensus encoder based AMR systems. User friendly features include optional pull-down screens, making AutoRead very easy to use. It is the ideal communications bridge for interfacing between the TouchRead®, PhonRead® and RadioRead® systems — and your computerized billing system.
AutoVu Software
AutoVU ™ provides a mapping interface to graphically depict the location of each meter along a meter reading route and instantly verify each reading. AutoVU uses precise locating and mapping technology made possible by existing low earth orbiting Global Positioning Satellites, enabling the drive-by RadioRead AMR user to reduce meter reading time and associated costs.
